STAND AGAINST ONLINE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS

Research shows that women are disproportionately affected by online harms. But instead of fixing their platforms, social media and AI companies keep enabling and boosting the spread of misogyny, abuse, and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

We found that Grok AI generated an unprecedented estimate of 3 million sexualized images in just 11 days, most of them of women and girls.

Online violence targeting women and girls can lead to dangerous real-life consequences for their physical and mental health, damaging their careers and driving them away from public life.

The fight for Big Tech accountability is also a fight for women’s rights and gender equality.

This International Women’s Day, demand Big Tech stop hurting women and girls & urge lawmakers to hold platforms accountable before it’s too late.
